THE MAKERS SCHOOL is a school for people who want to learn how to make, sew, and craft things for themselves!
The goal is that the skills your learn at THE MAKERS SCHOOL become an invaluable tool over time, giving you the confidence and skills to be able to make and do more things for yourself! The first round of courses will be in sewing and pattern-making, giving you the foundations to begin making your own basic items of clothing and understanding the basics of pattern-making.
Classes are run by Birgitta Helmersson from her Collingwood studio. Birgitta has over 10 years experience working in the creative industries as a maker, artist and designer. She has worked for many local designer's and businesses including Obus, Kloke, The Victorian Opera and Isaac Lummis. Birgitta now runs her own clothing and accessories label and also collaborates with other artists and designers on projects. For more information head to....
